I have a parent/teacher conference today for our oldest daughter. Having gone through college to be a teacher myself, I feel totally at ease at these meetings. (Life took me down a totally different path after college, but hey, at least I have something to fall back on?) My husband thinks they are super awkward and avoids going, which is totally fine with me. He is one of those types that gets so nervous at a doctors office that he has the compulsion to touch everything. I end up feeling like his mom telling him to sit down and sit still. Parent-teacher conferences are no different, so I am happy to go alone.

I've never been much of a fan of high-waisted jeans. That is, until I found these at Target for a whopping $6 on clearence! Turns out they are super flattering, even over the dreaded mom-tummy and I've found in general that Target jeans tend to make my butt look way better than the majority of other brands. Old Navy jeans in particular make my rear look terrible. Talk about your steriotypical mom-jeans! The tunic is super lightweight and great for spring.
Tell me, how do you typically dress for the parent teacher conference? Do you go the casual route or more like a dressier meeting for work?
